CVTCTU Professional Development Committee
Our Mission:
Promote the individual professional development of our members and, at the same time, maintain a strong relationship among our members to advocate for education at CVTC.
Activities:
Chair share - a twice-a-semester gathering of department chairs and program directors to share experiences and information that can help make their jobs easier and promote professional conduct.
Brown Bag sessions - a periodic lyceum series with speakers and events arranged to help teachers develop as professionals and provide opportunities to learn/maintain skills to make their jobs easier
Uni-pals - designed to assist those with limited experience with union membership (including all new faculty) who would like to learn more about the Union mission and how the union contributes and supports members' well-being and professional lives.
Our committee is open to any union member who wishes to improve and maintain the professional atmosphere at CVTC.
